FliteStar CDs are manufactured from the highest quality CDs available. In some cases, however, a CD-ROM will not read, copy, or install correctly. If you get an error message during installation, it’s probably a disk error. You may also get an error if there is a problem with your hard disk.
Errors are generally caused by one or more of the following:
Check that you have enough available disk space on your hard drive.
Dirty disk drive head. You should clean the CD-ROM drive on a regular basis. The cleaning cycle depends on how much the drive is used, the air quality, and the drive type. If you have not cleaned the CD-ROM drive within the last few months, this is a possible cause of the disk reading problem.
Head track slight misalignment. There will usually be a slight variation in track alignment between your disk drive and the disk drive used in the manufacturing process.
Defective CD. If this is the case, contact Jeppesen, and we'll send you new CDs. Please return the defective CD when you get your replacements.
If you experience disk reading errors, try these steps:
Clean your CD-ROM drive and try the installation again. Cleaning CDs are available at any store that sells computers.
Try installing the software on another computer.
