Sharing or Moving a RoutePack

RoutePacks are files that can be moved to other computers, such as a tablet PC running a RoutePack-compatible moving map. The following are possible default locations where RoutePacks are stored depending on your setup:

If you install FliteStar in a folder other than the default, the default RoutePack folder will also change. Regardless of where the FliteStar program is installed, you may choose to save RoutePacks in a different folder, such as My Documents. You need to know where you save these files if trying to copy them to another machine.

Alternatively, from within FliteStar, you can select a RoutePack from the RoutePack list (Press CTRL+L to show or hide the RoutePack List.) and then choose Save As from the File menu or the right-click menu. Generally, you could save to a floppy by typing a: in front of the RoutePack name, such as a:RoutePack 1.rpk. To save to a USB drive or other device, just type the appropriate letter in front of the RoutePack file name.

Put in (or plug in) the disk (drive) to the other computer and then open the RoutePack file in FliteMap or the other application that needs it.
