Although technically a waypoint is a type of fix in an area navigation system, the term "waypoint" is commonly used to refer to other types of fixes as well. In FliteStar you may see the term "waypoint" used to include types of fixes that are not technically considered waypoints by FAA, JAA, or ICAO definition.
"Waypoint" as used in FliteStar is any airport, nav aid, intersection, or lat/long position that can be used for defining a route. This also includes User-Defined Waypoints.
