Manual routing, also know as the point-and-click method, allows you to create a quick plan that goes from point A to point B.

To create a route manually:
Use one of the following methods to activate the manual routing function:
The following options look different depending on whether RoutePacks and routes are currently loaded and displayed in the RoutePack List).
Click Tools > Add Route in a New RoutePack or Tools > Add Route to [RoutePack].
Right-click a blank area of the RoutePack List, and click Tools > Add Route in a New RoutePack or Tools > Add Route to [RoutePack].
Right-click on the Enroute Charts View and choose Tools > Add Route in a New RoutePack or Tools > Add Route to [RoutePack].
Press CTRL+A.
If necessary, name the RoutePack, and then click OK.
Name the route, and then click OK.

Click in the Enroute Charts view where you want to start your route (on either a vector or raster chart).
Click the next location where you want the next waypoint.
NOTE | If you click on the map at a location away from an established waypoint, a waypoint icon is inserted in your route. If you click on a location that has collocated waypoints, a dialog box appears so you can select your desired waypoint. |
Repeat this process until you have set all the waypoints for your route. You can zoom in and out and pan the Enroute Charts view as you continue adding waypoints to complete your route.
Use one of the following methods to finish your route:
Right-click in the enroute chart and choose Stop Appending Waypoints.
Right-click in the RoutePack List window and choose Stop Appending Waypoints.
Click Tools > Stop Appending Waypoints.
