The CSC DUATS and DTC DUAT weather services offer a variety of products, described below.
This is the most widely used type of briefing requested when you have planned a route and intend to make the flight within 6 hours. After you are comfortable getting route briefings, you may want to experiment with other items on the DUAT/S command list. Automatically provides all available weather types within a defined radius around a selected location. Enter an airport identifier and the radius from the point for which you want weather information.
Same as a Standard Weather Route briefing except that departure time must be 6 or more hours in the future.
Like a Standard Weather Area briefing, this provides certain FAA-selected weather reports for a specified radius around a defined facility. Like the Outlook Weather Route briefing, departure time must be 6 or more hours in the future.
These are briefings for the exact weather types you choose . You can choose both Plain Language and standard FAA aviation formats. In the Abbreviated Weather dialog, choose the Select Weather Items button.
Click on Select Weather Items to bring up a list of weather products. Use CTRL+A to select all the items or CTRL+C to deselect all.
Provides selected weather for any location or group of locations (up to ten) you specify.
Provides selected weather for any state, group of states, or specified regions of certain large states. All weather is displayed from West to East.
Enter two-letter state abbreviations for up to five states separated by commas only (no spaces) in the "State" field on the left.
Enter the collective identifiers, as shown below, separated by spaces only in the Collective(s) text box. Large states can be entered as a collective. You must use the Collective(s) field for California, Alaska and Texas.
You can enter up to five collectives. Valid entries for collective identifiers are:
All two-letter state abbreviations (AK, AL, AR, etc.)
East, North, South Alaska - EAK, NOAK, SOAK
Central, Northern and Southern California -
CNTCAL, NOCAL SOCAL (CSCDUATS);
CAN, CAS (Northern and Southern California only, DTC DUAT)
North, South, West Texas -
NOTX, SOTX, WTX (CSC DUATS);
TXN, TXS, TXW (DTC DUAT)
All Canada, Central, Maritime, Southeast, Western Canada - CN, CNTCN, MRTNCN, SECN, WCN

OG - Gulf of Mexico
OA - Offshore Atlantic
OP - Offshore Pacific
CB - Caribbean
VI - Virgin Islands
MX - Mexico
PR - Puerto Rico
DC - District of Columbia
Same as Standard Weather Route briefing, except that you can choose specific briefing contents with the Select Weather Items button.
Similar to Standard Weather Area briefing, except that you can choose specific briefing contents with the Select Weather Items button out to a selected radius around an airport or waypoint of your choice.
