FliteStar uses the winds aloft from the latest JeppWX downloaded data. Check the Display Winds button in the Weather toolbar to show winds aloft in the Enroute Charts and Profile views,
In the Profile View, winds are displayed as blue arrows at different altitudes. The arrow length indicates the relative strength of the wind component. The longer the arrow the faster the wind speed.
To view the direction, speed, headwind/tailwind, and crosswind components for a specific wind and altitude, hover your cursor over the blue wind arrow and a tooltip will appear. Wind speed is always measured in knots.
