The Jeppesen Weather Service

Jeppesen has been providing aviation weather to pilots and dispatchers since the early 1980s. Jeppesen employs a staff of professional meteorologists who assist in generating many of the graphic maps, as well as providing personalized custom forecasts to customers.

Jeppesen Weather is an international service, ingesting data from around the globe and creating products for all regions of the world. The data and products are seamless as operators fly between continents and over oceans. Jeppesen weather is supported 24 hours a day, seven days a week by on-site staff. If there is an outage of any sort, personnel are alerted and work diligently to resolve the problem.

Jeppesen also provides products that are not available from any other provider, including worldwide icing, turbulence, and ceiling and visibility forecasts. Jeppesen also provides a NEXRAD radar forecast product that allows customers to see where precipitation is forecast to be six hours into the future. Worldwide lightning allows customers anywhere in the world to know where convection is active. Jeppesen uses our worldwide gridded numerical forecast data to help optimize flight plans by providing forecast wind and temperature data for the route optimizer, as well as allowing customers to see a textual wind and temperature aloft forecast for any point above the earth.

Jeppesen Weather provides a distinct geographical advantage, as well as offering more aviation-specific graphical weather products than other services. Jeppesen plans to be around for many years, so you can depend on Jeppesen Weather to be available where you need it, when you need it.
